The Challenge
Cambridge Judge Business School needed an event production partner that could deliver an exceptional experience for both the audience in the room and those watching online. Hosted in the stunning surroundings of King’s College Hall, the event demanded a production that complemented the venue while capturing every presentation, discussion and audience interaction.
The challenge was to combine professional audio, lighting, presentation support and multi-camera filming into a seamless production, all while working discreetly in a historic venue with a busy schedule. Every detail had to be carefully planned to ensure the event ran smoothly from beginning to end.
The Solution
Our Solution
Working closely with the team at Cambridge Judge Business School, we planned every aspect of the production well before the first guest arrived. Our aim was simple: create an event that looked great in the room, translated beautifully on camera and allowed presenters to focus on their content rather than the technology. From the initial setup and rehearsals to the final presentation, our crew worked quietly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly and ensure every session was captured to the highest standard.
To deliver the event, we provided:
- Complete university event production, support and technical management, including stage setup, presentation support, professional audio and carefully designed lighting to create the best experience for both the live and online audience.
- Multi-camera filming and live vision mixing, capturing every keynote, panel discussion and audience question with dynamic camera angles that kept the online broadcast engaging throughout the event.
- Live streaming and on-demand recording, allowing remote viewers to join from anywhere while creating a high-quality video archive that could be shared long after the event had finished.
The result was a professional, reliable production that blended seamlessly into the event, giving presenters the confidence to concentrate on delivering their message while we took care of everything happening behind the scenes.
The Results
The event was delivered successfully to both the audience in King’s College Hall and viewers watching remotely, creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. Over the course of the 3 days, the WaveFX team captured 10+ hours of presentations, 20+ speakers, virtual speakers and multiple panel discussions, all filmed using a multi-camera production setup.
The live stream reached viewers across the UK and internationally, while the recorded sessions created a valuable on-demand resource for delegates who couldn’t attend live. By combining careful planning with experienced event production, the client received a professional broadcast that extended the impact of the conference well beyond the closing session.
The Client's Perspective
“The WaveFX team gave me genuinely world class end-to-end support for this event. I approached them with a vision of capturing and broadcasting what I believe is critical dialogue to help global communities understand and grapple with a core societal problem.
Everything was brilliant, the stage design choices, the lighting choices, the camera placements, the sound system, and the integration with the online streaming platform we chose. After the event, I promptly received an archive of professionally edited high-definition archived footage, which we are now using for curriculum and societal awareness projects.
WaveFX delivered way beyond these expectations. Not only were they master technicians—but also a core part of my concept design team. I would trust them with any event of any calibre and am looking forward to working with them again.”

Our advice
The best events don’t just happen on the day, they’re the result of careful planning behind the scenes. Involving your production team early gives you time to think about camera positions, lighting, presentation design, audience sightlines and how the event will be experienced by people watching online.
A technical rehearsal with your speakers can also make a huge difference, helping everyone feel relaxed and confident before they step onto the stage. (we love a rehearsal)
