Keeping an Important Conversation Alive
When you’re living with Motor Neurone Disease, access to the latest research, treatments and expert advice can make a real difference. Every year, the MND Association brings together clinicians, researchers and healthcare professionals to share knowledge that helps improve patient care.
When the symposium could no longer take place as a traditional face-to-face event, the challenge wasn’t cancelling it, it was finding a way to bring hundreds of delegates together online without losing the quality, interaction and professionalism everyone expected.

Medical conferences are built around learning.
Presentations, panel discussions, audience questions and clinical updates all need to flow naturally, while every slide, video and speaker must be delivered flawlessly. For delegates joining remotely, the experience needed to feel every bit as engaging as attending in person.
There was simply no room for technical distractions.
The Solution
Working closely with the MND Association, we transformed the symposium into a fully produced virtual event.
Presenters joined from multiple locations, while our production team managed every aspect of the broadcast behind the scenes, from speaker rehearsals and presentation playback to graphics, live vision mixing and audience interaction.
Rather than producing a series of online meetings, we created a broadcast that felt professional, reassuring and easy to follow, allowing delegates to concentrate entirely on the content.
The Results
The virtual symposium successfully brought together healthcare professionals from across the UK and beyond, ensuring important research and clinical knowledge continued to be shared despite the challenges of meeting in person.
The event also demonstrated that virtual conferences can do far more than replace a physical venue. They can reach wider audiences, improve accessibility and leave organisers with valuable on-demand content long after the closing session.
What the Client Said
“WaveFX made what felt like an impossible task seem effortless. Their knowledge, reassurance and attention to detail gave us complete confidence throughout the planning process, and the finished event exceeded our expectations. The feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive.” Pam Ralph, Motor Neurone Disease Association
From the Crew
Some projects stay with you because you know how much they matter to the people watching. Everyone involved understood the importance of the symposium, and that gave the whole team an extra sense of purpose. It wasn’t just another webcast, it was helping important knowledge reach the people who needed it most.
Charity Live Streaming Advice
If you’re organising a medical or charity conference, don’t think of virtual production as a compromise. With the right planning, it can increase attendance, improve accessibility and create a library of educational content that continues delivering value long after the event has finished.
