This short showreel introduces WaveFX and brings together examples of our filming, editing, animation and live-production work.

Our brief

We wanted to create one concise video that would give prospective clients a quick sense of what WaveFX does and what it is like to work with our team.

The film needed to represent a broad range of projects, from corporate interviews and promotional films to technical animation, social content and live events.

Its intended audience includes marketing teams, communications managers, event organisers and production agencies across Cambridge, London, the wider UK and overseas. The showreel has so far been seen by an audience of more than 10,000 on our website and has had 30,000 social-media viewers.

Creating a Corporate Video Production Showreel

We selected footage from more than 20 productions, choosing moments that showed the variety of our work without turning the video into a long list of services.

The edit combines corporate filming, interviews, events, animation and behind-the-scenes production. Short sequences keep the pace moving, while simple graphics introduce the different types of content we create.

Music, colour grading and a complete sound mix bring the material together, giving footage produced for different clients and platforms one consistent flow.

The main showreel was delivered in 4K and HD for the WaveFX website and YouTube. Shorter widescreen, square and vertical versions were also created for LinkedIn, Instagram and client presentations.

Production challenges and how we addressed them

The main challenge was condensing more than 20 years of varied production work into a short film.

We focused on projects that quickly demonstrate the quality and range of the work. Each clip was selected because it added something new, whether that was an interesting location, a strong interview, a live-event moment or a piece of animation.

Another challenge was ensuring older and newer footage worked comfortably together. Careful colour grading, cropping and sound design helped create a consistent viewing experience across the complete edit.

The final structure keeps the emphasis on the finished work and the people appearing in it, rather than filling the film with technical information.

The measurable outcome

The project produced one 90-second video production company showreel and three shorter edits for social media.

It provides prospective clients with a clear introduction to WaveFX in less than two minutes and gives our team a useful starting point for conversations about new projects.

The film also brings several separate services into one accessible video, helping viewers understand how filming, animation and live production can work together.
