Science has a remarkable way of inspiring people when it’s presented in the right way. When Professor Brian Cox took Big Bang Live to a winning school in West Sussex, our job was to make sure thousands more could experience the event online.

The webcast combined live demonstrations, audience interaction and Professor Brian Cox’s unique ability to explain complex ideas in a way that anyone could understand. It was an event designed to spark curiosity, and our role was to make that experience available far beyond the school hall.

The Challenge

We needed to capture every demonstration, every reaction and every key discussion while producing a live broadcast that kept online viewers feeling as though they were sitting in the front row.

The Solution

Working alongside the production team, we designed a multi-camera webcast that followed the pace of the event without ever getting in the way. Close-up cameras captured demonstrations, wider shots showed the atmosphere in the room and live vision mixing ensured online viewers never missed an important moment.

Our aim was simple: let Professor Brian Cox do what he does best while we quietly took care of everything behind the scenes.

The Results

The webcast extended the reach of the event far beyond those lucky enough to attend in person, allowing schools, students and science enthusiasts to join the experience online.
