Let’s Get Ready to Rumble… Live

Some voices are instantly recognisable, and Michael Buffer’s is certainly one of them.

When William Hill hosted a live boxing event featuring the legendary ring announcer, our job was to take the excitement far beyond the venue. The event was streamed live to Facebook, giving boxing fans front-row access to interviews, live workouts and behind-the-scenes content as the build-up gathered momentum. It was fast-paced, unpredictable and exactly the kind of production we enjoy.

The Challenge

Boxing events rarely follow a script. Athletes arrive at different times, interviews move, schedules change and the atmosphere can shift in seconds.

The challenge was creating a live broadcast that could react to everything happening around us while still delivering a professional viewing experience for thousands of people watching online.

The Solution

Using a portable multi-camera production setup, we mixed live interviews, crowd reactions, training footage and branded graphics into a dynamic social media live broadcast.

The flexibility of the production allowed us to move quickly between locations, capturing moments as they happened while maintaining the quality and reliability expected from a professional webcast. Rather than simply filming the event, we focused on the excitement surrounding it, helping viewers feel part of the occasion wherever they were watching.

The Results

The webcast attracted thousands of live viewers and demonstrated how social media can become a powerful platform for sporting events. By combining broadcast-quality production with the immediacy of Facebook Live, the event reached a much larger audience than the venue alone could accommodate while creating valuable content that continued to generate engagement after the live broadcast had finished.

What the Client Said

“The live broadcast captured exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. The team reacted brilliantly throughout the event and delivered a webcast that felt every bit as exciting online as it did inside the venue.” Marketing Team, William Hill

From the Crew

Boxing events have a unique energy. There’s always something happening, whether it’s an interview, a training session or fans gathering before the main event. Staying flexible is the key. Sometimes the best moments aren’t in the running order, they happen when nobody expects them.

Our Facebook Live Production Advice

If you’re planning a sporting event, don’t wait until the main event to start telling the story. The build-up, interviews and behind-the-scenes moments are often what audiences engage with most. A well produced live webcast can keep people connected long before the first bell rings and long after the final result.
