The Challenge
Not every event takes place in a conference centre with fast internet and easy access to power. Increasingly, clients want to stream from outdoor venues, historic buildings, temporary event spaces and other remote locations where connectivity can be unpredictable.
The challenge is delivering the same broadcast-quality webcast people expect, regardless of the venue. That means overcoming unreliable internet, limited power and changing environmental conditions without compromising the viewing experience. Every production needs to be carefully planned, with backup systems in place to ensure the broadcast remains stable from start to finish.
The Solution
Every remote location live streaming project presents a different challenge, so there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all setup. Before every production, we assess the venue, identify potential risks and build a streaming solution that’s designed specifically for the environment. Whether we’re broadcasting from a field, a historic building or a temporary event space, our goal is always the same to deliver a reliable, broadcast-quality webcast that feels no different to one produced from a fully equipped conference venue.
To make that possible, we provided:
- Reliable internet connectivity, using bonded 4G and 5G connections, dedicated internet services or satellite technology where required to keep the webcast stable throughout the event.
- Independent power solutions, allowing cameras, production equipment and networking hardware to operate reliably in locations where mains power was limited or unavailable.
- Complete technical planning and backup systems, with every aspect of the production tested in advance and contingency plans in place to minimise risk and keep the broadcast running smoothly.
By combining careful planning with proven technology and an experienced production team, we were able to deliver a dependable live stream from challenging locations, giving our clients the confidence to focus on their event while we took care of everything behind the scenes.
The Results
By combining careful planning with resilient streaming technology, WaveFX has successfully delivered live broadcasts from locations that would traditionally have been considered difficult or even impossible to stream from. Using bonded 4G and 5G connectivity, satellite internet and independent power solutions, we’ve supported 100+ remote live streams across the UK and beyond.
Our flexible approach means clients aren’t restricted by venue infrastructure, giving them the freedom to choose locations that best suit their event rather than those with the best internet connection. The result is reliable, broadcast-quality live streaming from almost anywhere, without compromising on quality or viewer experience.
The Crew's Perspective
“These are the jobs we love. Every location is different, every setup is a little unique, and there’s always a way to make it work. It’s incredibly satisfying when everything comes together and people simply enjoy the broadcast without ever thinking about what was happening behind the scenes.”

Our advice
Don’t let your venue dictate what’s possible. Some of the most memorable events take place in locations that don’t have reliable internet or easy access to power, but that doesn’t mean live streaming is off the table.
With the right planning, backup systems and streaming technology, it’s often possible to broadcast from places you might never have thought practical. A little preparation can open up a huge range of exciting possibilities for your next event.

Planning Something Similar?
Every event is unique, and that’s one of the reasons we enjoy what we do. Whether you’re streaming from a country estate, a factory floor, a university campus or somewhere completely off the beaten track, we’ll work with you to find the best approach. Some productions are surprisingly straightforward, while others need a little more creativity. Either way, we’re always happy to share ideas and help turn ambitious plans into successful live broadcasts.
