Live Event Filming Company WaveFX capture 30 acts over 3 nights in front of 9000 people
This is the 5th year the crew of WaveFX have filmed the British Magic Championships live form the Winter Gardens Blackpool Opera house
The Blackpool Magic Festival showcases over 100 UK and international magic dealers, world-class close-up magicians, lecturers and stage performers.
It is also the home of the British Magical Championships, European Close-up Magic Championships and the UK Children’s Entertainer of the Year Competition.
Cambridge video company WaveFX provide 4 cameras and a creative vision mixer and live edit the show to giant screens in and around the opera house.
Phil Dalton, videographer at WaveFX commented: “This really is a great 3 days and a complete break from the norm, we rehearse camera moves all day and then produce a 3 hour live show to a packed house of over 3000, even thou we’ve seen the rehearsal I have no idea how it’s done, the magic that is not the cameras”
