A broadcast studio production built inside the London Blockchain Conference
WaveFX created and operated a bespoke conference studio production for CoinGeek at this years London Blockchain Conference, held at Evolution London in Battersea Park.
Across the two-day event, our team managed the cameras, lighting, sound and production workflow needed to capture professional interviews and social content directly from the exhibition floor.
The client’s challenge
CoinGeek is a specialist media and publishing platform covering blockchain, Web3, artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
The company needed a professional studio where its reporters could interview speakers, policymakers, entrepreneurs and technology leaders throughout a busy international conference.
The production needed to:
- Deliver consistent broadcast-quality pictures and sound
- Accommodate several CoinGeek reporters and interview guests
- Operate within a busy, potentially noisy exhibition environment
- Preserve the energy and atmosphere of the conference
- Support a fast-moving schedule of interviews
- Create content suitable for CoinGeek’s digital and social channels
Audience and location
The London Blockchain Conference took place at Evolution London and reported more than 5,000 in-person attendees and over 7,000 virtual participants, bringing together people from enterprise, government, investment, blockchain, Web3 and artificial intelligence.
The CoinGeek studio was positioned within the event, allowing its editorial team to interview guests without losing the atmosphere of the exhibition floor.
Studio production setup
WaveFX managed the complete studio production, including:
- Bespoke conference-floor studio
- Professional cameras and camera operation
- Studio lighting
- Broadcast-quality sound
- Interview filming
- Live production management
- Content capture for online publishing
- Social-media-ready video content
The objective was to create a polished broadcast environment that still looked and felt connected to the wider conference.
Platform and content delivery
The studio supported CoinGeek’s online video coverage and social media output from the London Blockchain Conference. It also provided a consistent location for on-camera reporters to record interviews with speakers and industry personalities while the event was taking place.
Studio production risks addressed
Conference floor studios present several production challenges. Background noise, changing light, restricted space and tightly scheduled interviews can all affect the quality and consistency of the finished content.
WaveFX planned the studio around these risks, giving CoinGeek a controlled production environment inside the live event.
Careful management of the cameras, lighting and audio helped maintain a consistent visual identity, while an experienced on-site team kept the interview schedule moving and responded quickly when requirements changed.
The outcome
The studio operated throughout the two-day conference and supported four CoinGeek on-camera reporters as they captured interviews, commentary and video stories.
CoinGeek subsequently described the production as “The perfect crew and studio space to interview key VIP personalities.”
The production succeeded in creating a dedicated content hub at the centre of the conference, combining professional production standards with the immediacy and energy of a live technology event.
