A night of stand-up comedy has topped over £100K online viewers and raised over £8k to support local young people with disabilities to enjoy the arts.
Local comic Irving McCormick supported by the Cambridge Junction hosted a night of comedy streamed live across multiple social media platforms.
The charity webcast included comedy from Richard Herring, Harry Hill, Lost Voice Guy, Simon Panrucker, Jonathan Pie, Lucy Porter, Aaron Simmonds and The King’s Singers.
WaveFX were delighted to be involved and stream the two-hour charity webcast live from their new Cambridge studios. Lockdown has seen a demand from companies wanting help connecting staff and customers and WaveFX has the ability to stream six unique virtual events simultaneously using professional vision mixers with high production values.
This free charity webcast was streamed simultaneously to the Junctions Website and across multiple Facebook accounts and quickly gained a huge online engaged audience.
Tom streaming producer at WaveFX commented“Facebook is the ideal platform for audience interaction, comments and sharing. We’ve streamed many events, conferences and shows and our clients have always been staggered by the level of engagement. The key is obviously promotion and Facebook helps there as well allowing for events to be scheduled up to a week in advance. We’re delighted this charity event was so successful and continues to draw in much needed funds”
WaveFX have been in the broadcast and webcasting industry for over 20 years filming and streaming remote presenters and panelists into live events and conferences.
