Local animation company WaveFX have produced many award winning animations over the last 20 years for some of the world’s biggest companies including Microsoft, Lloyds and Siemens.

Their latest project involved blending photorealistic animation with real world footage filmed in Leeds to create a seamless journey around and through a new Domino printing press.

Domino Printing Sciences has established a global reputation for the development of printing technologies. This year they launched the latest Generation 7 inkjet technology platform, the N730i digital colour label press.

WaveFX had worked with Domino’s for many years producing corporate videos, photo-realistic animations and global webcasts.

Andrea McGinty, Marketing Manager Digital Printing Solutions: “Thanks for all the great work you have done for us this year – everyone keeps saying what a great virtual event the N730i launch was and that we have really set the bar high for any future events!”

Chris lead-animator at WaveFX “Photorealistic animations transform complicated ideas into clear visual concepts, our 3D cameras can explore, dissect and flyover places conventional cameras simply can’t go. From a simple sketch on a scrap of paper to AutoCAD and Solid Works we create visualisation that will clearly demonstrate your ideas and concepts”

As a one-stop design house WaveFX handled all the on-site video production including draping the background of the physical machine to emulate a studio as the machine was actually situated in a bust working factory environment.

In the studio the printer was modeled in incredible detail using 3D max software which allowed the real camera movements to be blended with the virtual.
