Every Cheese Has a Story

Long before a cheese reaches the counter at Borough Market, it has already travelled quite a journey.

At Bath Soft Cheese Company, every cheese begins on the family farm. The milk comes from their own herd, the recipes have been refined over generations and every wheel is carefully crafted by hand. As part of Pilsner Urquell’s Meet the Maker series, we were invited to tell that story, not with a sales pitch, but by introducing the people whose passion makes every cheese unique.

Food Video production Challenges

Artisan food is about far more than the finished product.

The challenge was capturing the craftsmanship, heritage and personality behind the business in just a few minutes. Rather than creating another promotional video, the film needed to transport viewers from a bustling London market back to the farm where everything begins.

The food looked fantastic, but it was the people behind it who would make the story memorable.

The Solution

We spent time getting to know the business before picking up the cameras.

Following the cheese making process from the dairy to Borough Market, we filmed the little details that often go unnoticed, the early mornings, the careful handling, the ageing rooms and the conversations that revealed why quality has always come before quantity.

The finished artisan food video allowed the story to unfold naturally, giving viewers a genuine insight into the dedication behind every cheese without ever feeling scripted.

The Results

The film became part of Pilsner Urquell’s Meet the Maker campaign, celebrating independent food producers and the craftsmanship behind their products.

It introduced new audiences to Bath Soft Cheese Company while giving existing customers a deeper appreciation of the care, tradition and hard work that goes into every cheese they buy.

What the Client Said

“WaveFX didn’t just film our cheese—they captured the heart of our business. The finished film reflects our farm, our family and everything we’re passionate about. It’s a story we’re incredibly proud to share.” Bath Soft Cheese Company

From the Crew

Projects like this remind us that the best stories aren’t always the biggest ones. Spending time with people who genuinely love what they do is a privilege, and you can’t fake that enthusiasm on camera. By the end of the day we’d learnt a lot about cheesemaking… and developed a serious appreciation for a proper cheese board.

Our Food Video production Advice

If you’re producing an artisan food video, don’t start with the product, start with the people. Customers are increasingly interested in where their food comes from, who’s making it and why it matters. Tell that story well and the product almost sells itself.
