Going Where Cameras Can’t
Some products are simply too complex to explain with words or traditional video alone. When Inca Digital Printers launched the new Onset M, they wanted customers to understand the technology long before seeing the machine in person. Our job was to create a photorealistic 3D animation that brought the product to life, revealing every detail with clarity and giving exhibition visitors a completely new way to experience it.
What the Client Said
“It’s beautiful!… gasp, sheds a tear… the final result is amazing!” Ciara McGahey, Marketing Executive, Inca Digital Printers
The Challenge
The Onset M is an impressive piece of engineering, but explaining how it works isn’t easy. Filming inside the machine wasn’t possible, and static images couldn’t demonstrate the technology in action.
The animation needed to be technically accurate while remaining engaging enough for visitors discovering the product for the very first time at FESPA, one of the world’s biggest print exhibitions.
The Solution
Working from technical drawings and product data, we built a fully detailed 3D model before creating a series of photorealistic animations that showcased the printer from every angle. The virtual camera could move through the machine, highlight key features and reveal details that would be impossible to capture with conventional filming.
The same 3D assets were then used to create exhibition videos, shorter explainer animations and a collection of high-quality product visuals, giving Inca content they could continue using long after the exhibition had finished.
The Results
The animations became a centrepiece of Inca’s exhibition stand at FESPA, helping visitors understand the product quickly while creating a striking visual display. Because everything was created in 3D, the project delivered far more than a single animation, providing marketing assets that could be reused across brochures, presentations, websites and social media.
From the Crew
“It’s always great to receive feedback like that from a client. This was a fascinating project to work on and, despite a tight deadline, we were able to create something that looked incredibly realistic. One of the biggest advantages of working in 3D is that once the model is built, it can keep working for you. Inca didn’t just receive an animation, they also gained a library of photorealistic product images and visual assets for future marketing.” Chris, Trill, Lead Animator
Our Photorealistic 3D Visualisation Advice
If you’re launching a new product, don’t think of 3D animation as just another marketing video. A well-built 3D model can become one of your most valuable marketing assets, generating animations, brochure images, exhibition content, website visuals and social media graphics from a single piece of creative work. It often delivers far more value than people expect.
